Three houses in Azad Nagar were demolished on Saturday to facilitate the construction. Another 20 houses and shops remain, and residents have been given 10 days to relocate. The residents have received compensation of 19 lakhs. A total of 108 sawmills and furniture businesses will be shifted to Ratibad, where infrastructure development is being funded with 6 crores.
