Ghoraghata Railway Station (GGTA) is a small station on the Howrah-Bardhaman main line in West Bengal. It has two platforms and basic amenities like a ticket counter, waiting room, and restrooms. Watch out for the high speed actions of one of the most profit making DURONTO EXPRESS in Indian Railways captured in both up and down direction. As per instruction from the railway board, South Eastern Railways recently upgraded the train to UTKRISHT standard. Although the interiors were modified, but the outer vinyls were maintained instead of giving the cream- maroon coat of paint.

To clear the extra rush of passengers during the peak festive seasons, the Railways run SPECIAL trains in between various stations all over the country. While quite a few of them generally run empty due to poor punctuality, reliability and promotion, a few of them gains extremely good patronage. Infact, sometimes a few SPECIAL trains have been promoted to Regular service due to good response.
