दीक्षाभूमीही एक्स्प्रेस रेल्वेगाडी लातूरमार्गे सोडल्यास प्रवाशांची सोय होणार असून त्यामुळे महाराष्ट्र, तेलंगणा, मध्य प्रदेश, उत्तर प्रदेश आणि बिहार या पाच राज्यांची कनेक्टिव्हिटी वाढणार आहे. तशी मागणी मराठवाडा रेल्वे प्रवासी संघटनेने रेल्वेमंत्री सुरेश प्रभू यांच्याकडे केली आहे.
रेल्वे विभागाने लातूरहून पुणे-हैदराबाद बिदर-मुंबई या रेल्वेव्यतिरिक्त इतर राज्यांना जोडणारी कोणतीही रेल्वे आजपर्यंत सुरू केली नाही. गतवर्षी तर लातूरकरांच्या मागणीची रेल्वेमंत्र्यांनी दखलही घेतली नव्हती. रेल्वे मंत्रालयाला नवीन रेल्वे सुरू करणे शक्य नसले तरी काही रेल्वेचे मार्ग बदलल्यास प्रवाशांची सोय होऊ शकते.
