The Munger platform is limited to 10-coach capacity due to its length, which is restricted by the location of the toilet building. The administration had temporarily increased the number of coaches in the DEMU passenger train from 8 to 10 on April 22nd, but reverted to the earlier 8-coach configuration three months later. The introduction of 12-coach EMU trains is anticipated to alleviate overcrowding, enhance speed, and reduce diesel consumption. Passengers on the line are looking forward to the transition as they cite the current DEMU train's aged coaches and limited speed as drawbacks.
