Comparison of DDU-MZP-PRYJ & DDU-BSB-PRYJ Lines:-
1. DDU-MZP=PRYJ Line:- 153 kms; Bridges 2(River Tamas & Yamuna); Old Bridge-1 no on Yamuna between PRYJ-NYN, 123 yrs old, 1006 mtrs long, PSR of 20 kph exists.
2a. DDU-BSB-PRYJ(via MBS):- 142.2 kms; Bridges 2(River Ganges); Old Bridge - 2 nos on Ganga. i. Double Line Dufferin/Malaviya Bridge-135 yrs old, 1050 mtrs long, PSR of 15 kph exists. ii. Single Line Daraganj/Shashtri Bridge-123 yrs old, 2116 mtrs long, PSR of 25 kph exists. Doubling from BSBS-JI nearing completion.

Abandoned Bridge:- 625 mtrs long Lord Curzon Bridge. New 610 mtrs long Bridge beside Lord Curzon bridge made. MPS is high on new Bridge.
Conclusion due to Low MPS on Double Line Dufferin/Malaviya Bridge & Single Line Daraganj/Shashtri Bridge, 1 hrs more time will be taken by Rajdhani train in DDU-BSB-PRYJ route. Currently DDU-PRYJ 153 kms takes 102-108 mins by Premium class trains. But if diverted via BSB then:- 1a = DDU-BSB in 30 mins, 10 mins stop; BSB-BSBS 7 mins; BSB-PRYJ 108 mins. Total 2 hrs 35 mins(+50 mins than DDU-PRYJ line). 1b = DDU-BSB in 35 mins, 10 mins stop; BSB-JNH-PRYJ in 2 hrs. Total 2 hrs 45 mins(+1 hrs than DDU-PRYJ line).
So 12309/12310 journey time will increase by 55 mins in average in both direction. 12309 may cover 1001 kms in 13 hrs 20 mins & 12310 may cover 1001 kms in 13 hrs 10 mins. Average speed is dropping by 5 kph from 81 kph to 76 kph.
