Indian Railways ensuring safety at level crossings with infra upgrades

Indian Railways is undertaking a massive project to eliminate level crossings across the country, aiming to construct 3 Road Overbridges (ROBs) or Road Underbridges (RUBs) daily. This initiative comes after a decade of alarming accident rates at level crossings. In the last fiscal year, zero fatalities were reported at level crossings...

due to the Railways' efforts. This involved first converting all unmanned crossings to manned ones, which significantly reduced accidents. The current focus is on completely eliminating level crossings through the construction of 1,078 ROBs and RUBs within a year, eventually targeting 17,083 crossings. The project has significantly increased the number of ROBs/RUBs built in recent years, improving connectivity and safety. This initiative is crucial for preventing accidents as trains become faster and roads more congested. Funding for this project comes primarily from the Railways, with the exception of level crossings on National Highway corridors. The project demonstrates Indian Railways' commitment to rail safety as the network expands and modernizes.

Indian Railways level crossings ko khatam karne ke liye ek bada project chalaya ja raha hai, jismein har din 3 Road Overbridges (ROBs) ya Road Underbridges (RUBs) banaye ja rahe hain. Yeh project level crossings pe hone waale accidents ki wajah se aaya hai, jinki wajah se pehle bahut saare log...

mar gaye the. Pichhle saal, level crossings pe ek bhi accident nahi hua, isliye Railways ko bahut khushi hai. Isme pehle sabhi unmanned crossings ko manned crossings me badal diya gaya, jisse accidents kam hue. Ab railways ka target hai ki sabhi level crossings ko khatam kar diya jaaye, aur iske liye ek saal me 1,078 ROBs aur RUBs banaye ja rahe hain. Aage chalke, 17,083 crossings ko khatam kar diya jaayega. Is project se connectivity aur safety me bahut sudhaar aaya hai. Jaise jaise trains tez ho rahi hain aur roads bheed wali ho rahi hain, level crossings ka hona bahut khatarnaak ho gaya hai. Is project ke liye zyadatar paisa Railways de raha hai, National Highway corridors ke level crossings ko chhodkar. Yeh project Indian Railways ki rail safety ke liye ki gayi koshishon ko dikhata hai, jaise jaise rail network badh raha hai aur modern ho raha hai.

These days, every other day, we are getting requests from members to allow email login to their FB-based IRI account. 10 years ago, we had given the option for users to login through FaceBook - in retrospect, this was a mistake. These days, apparently, users are quitting FaceBook in droves because...
