A goods train carrying coal derailed near Vrindavan Road railway station on the Mathura-Delhi rail line on Wednesday evening. 27 wagons of the 59-wagon train derailed and piled up on each other. While the fourth line was opened by 10:30 pm, traffic on the remaining three lines remains disrupted. The incident occurred around 7:54 pm when the train, designated as STPB, was traveling from Jharkhand to the Suratgarh thermal plant. The derailment caused damage to the overhead lines and support structures on all three affected tracks. The railway department has started clearing the derailed wagons to restore service. While one goods train was allowed to cross the fourth line around 10:30 pm, followed by the Shatabdi Express, rail traffic on the other three lines remains suspended. The Railway Department is investigating the cause of the accident.

Accident ke time train STPB Jharkhand se Suratgarh thermal plant jaa rahi thi. Accident se overhead lines aur support structures bhi kharab ho gaye. Railway department wagons ko hataane mein laga hua hai. Raat 10:30 baje, ek goods train aur Shatabdi Express ko fourth line se guzara gaya, lekin baaki three lines par traffic abhi bhi band hai. Railway department accident ke karan ka pata lagaane ki koshish kar raha hai.
